Synopsis:
The hanyou girls were invited to attend a ball with the military personnels. Zakuro made a big fuss over it because she didn't want to wear a dress but Agemaki told her that the dress suit her just fine and she (blushingly) thanked him. Agemaki told her to call him 'Kei' but she found it impossible.

Agemaki had to leave Zakuro alone for a while because he was called by his higher up. During this time, two military bastards came over and insulted Zakuro for being a youjin. Though Agemaki came back and stopped those bastards, but she hit him several times on the chest and cried. He hugged her and apologized (for leaving her alone).

In the mean time, Ganryuu and the hanyou twin, Houzuki and Bonbori encountered a spider demon in one of the room. Bonbori was almost killed but Zakuro came just in time to save her. The spider demon mentioned that she knew Zakuro's mother (Tsukuhane) but before Zakuro could get anymore information from her, she disappeared.

The next chapter is about the twin telling Ganryuu about their past so I'm going to skip that to the part where Agemaki invited Zakuro to his house. His parents disliked youkai so Zakuro was forced to hide her fox ears in a bun. He told Zakuro that when he was young, he saw a youkai in his house which might be the reason why he was so scared with youkai. But Zakuro found out that the youkai was actually Agemaki's dead cat. Even though Agemaki couldn't see it but apparently his little sister, Kumiko, could. Before Zakuro left, Agemaki's mother gave her a necklace and hinted to her that she knew Zakuro was a youjin. On the way home, Zakuro mentioned that Agemaki's household is strange but she was glad that she came to visit.

Personal thoughts:
Overall I liked this volume :D There are romantic moments between Agemaki and Zakuro and heavy hints of Zakuro's feelings towards Agemaki when she got so jealous seeing Agemaki together with his maid (who has a huge crush on him). Besides that, the chapter about the spider demon is also a very important link to the story's climax.
